Across Malaysia, extensive land development is adversely affecting Indigenous peoples, posing a threat to ancestral lands, traditional ways of life and a wide spectrum of human rights.

Now Malaysia’s authorities are on the brink of revoking protections for the Selangor forest, the home of the largely Temuan Indigenous community; more than 930 hectares of pristine forest. 

If this goes ahead around 1,000 Indigenous people could be moved off their land, and  the land will be used for development projects.

We can’t allow governments to put corporate development ahead of the welfare of people, and dispossess Indigenous people of their lands. Demand the Selangor forest’s protection status stays!
